Language

India does not have any national language. The official language of the Republic of India is Hindi, and its subsidiary official language is English. The individual states can legislate their own official languages, depending on their linguistic demographics.

Jharkhand is home to several tribal groups including the Birhor, Ho, Kharia, Mundari and Oraon people groups. The majority of the population speaks a language called Sadri. Hindi is also spoken throughout the area. Our pastors are drawn from these people groups and are native speakers of the languages of the people they work with.

The following script is the translation of the previous two paragraphs into the language of Hindi:

भारत किसी भी राष्ट्रीय भाषा नहीं है. भारत गणराज्य की आधिकारिक भाषा हिन्दी, और उसकी सहायक आधिकारिक भाषा अंग्रेजी है. व्यक्तिगत राज्यों, उनके भाषाई जनसांख्यिकी के आधार पर अपने स्वयं के आधिकारिक भाषाओं कानून सकता है.
